Low-Radiation Digital X-rays

Digital X-rays emit significantly less radiation than conventional X-rays, and they’re also much more comfortable because they use smooth digital sensors instead of sharp X-ray film. Digital X-rays also don’t require any lengthy chemical processing, so the images are available on our computer screen within seconds.

We also have digital panoramic (360°) X-rays, which give Dr. Krasniqi the ability to visualize your entire mouth instead of isolating selected areas. This full view is especially helpful in complex full-mouth restorations and in orthodontic treatment planning.

Both standard and panoramic digital X-rays are necessary to diagnose:

• Cavities below existing restorations
• Small areas of decay between teeth
• Fractures, cracks, and structural abnormalities
• Cysts, tumors, and abscesses in the soft tissues
• Occlusal (bite) irregularities

Anxiety-Free Dentistry with Nitrous Oxide

Dental anxiety can affect people of all ages, especially children and individuals who have had a bad dental experience in the past. If you’re anxious about your visit, we invite you to share your concerns with us! The more we know about you, the better equipped we’ll be to tailor our care to your needs.

Dr. Krasniqi also offers nitrous oxide, one of the safest anti-anxiety agents used in dentistry. When inhaled, nitrous oxide creates a sense of giddiness and relaxation, which is how it earned the nickname of “laughing gas.” Nitrous oxide can help patients of all ages feel more at ease in the dental chair, and it’s also very helpful for patients who have a strong gag reflex that interferes with dental treatment.

Intraoral Cameras

Digital photographs taken with our intraoral cameras give us a clearer view of areas that can be difficult to see in a standard visual exam, like the back molars. These high-resolution images are also a vital patient education tool, enabling Dr. Krasniqi to show you exactly what he sees during your exam.
